Is it possible to password-protect regular folders on my machine?
(I am on Snow Leopard, and logged in as the admin, but I don't want to make other user accounts because I need to be logged in at all times.)

Hi-
Not in the sense that you double-click on a folder and it asks for a password. However, you can create an encrypted disk image that contains the information you want to protect. When someone double-clicks on the disk image, they’ll be prompted to enter a password to decrypt it. It’s actually quite a good way to keep track of passwords if you need to. I use one to keep track of important things in a spreadsheet like credit card numbers, their associated customer support numbers, website logins etc in case something happens to my wallet.
Information on doing this from Apple, here.
