How can i tranfer all my itunes songs or library from my pc to my mac?
Anonymous askedGreat question! First, let’s make sure all of your music is stored in your library location before moving it. Do all this on your Windows machine.
- Edit then Preferences. Go to the Advanced tab and make sure the box for Keep iTunes media folder organized is checked. Close the preferences
- For iTunes 9, File > Library > Organize Library. For iTunes 8, File > Library > Consolidate Library. For iTunes 7 or earlier, Advanced > Consolidate Library. This is a very important step. It ensures that files are actually living in the iTunes library location. If they aren’t it copies them there.
- Find your iTunes library. Edit > Preferences > Advanced tab. You should see the iTunes library location specified there. Go there and grab the entire iTunes folder. Copy this over to your Mac into the Music folder inside of your home folder.
