Sweet App Sunday - Onyx

Today’s part two of SweetAppSunday goes to a utility called Onyx. It’s a freebie and can be had here. Be mindful that there are separate versions for each version of Mac OS X. Make sure you get the right one.

So just what does it do? It’s a combination of maintenance and tweaking. One of the maintenance tasks that it handles is clearing caches, like our prior SweetAppSunday app from today, Cache Out X.

Another great thing that it does are tweaks. It doesn’t add any functionality to applications that you may use everyday (like Safari, Address Book and the Finder) but it will let you get at settings that aren’t always available to you normally.

Onyx may not make much sense at first, but give it a go and I think you’ll find something you like about it.  There’s nothing to lose as it’s free :)
